UNITED VIBRATIONS
With musical inspirations spanning the likes of Fela Kuti, John Coltrane, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Weather Report, 4hero, Jaco Pastorius, Ali Farka Toure and Talking Heads, it's no wonder that United Vibrations are a musical force with a sound that has been hard to classify. Bassist and vocalist Kareem Dayes notes, "We understand that nothing is truly original and every note we ever play is coming from or inspired by someone who came before us. That is the beauty of music, language, and the human canon." For a young group, that is a mature and satisfying stance.
